Hiking Shivapuri –Sundarijal

Located in the northwest part of the Kathmandu, this hike offers a beautiful exploration of the nature.  It is a national park where different species of animals and plants are well preserved.  It is a one-day trek which offers an easy walk exploring the nature.  It is a restricted area, so we have to get a permit to hike inside the park and we also have to follow some strict rules while we are hiking inside like not disturbing the habitat of the animals and plants inside the forest, no littering, illegal killing and transportation of the animals, etc.  During the hike, you will see many waterfalls which are the major water sources here in the Kathmandu valley.  Hiking is both uphill as downhill, but easy walk.  We will also explore NagiGumba –Buddhist monastery during this hike.  We may encounter different animals like deer, wild cats, and different species of birds.  It may take around 6 hours to reach Sundarijal from Shivapuri.
