Also known as a “Land of the Dragon”, Bhutan is a culturally rich country located to the South Asia.  Unique culture and landscape of Bhutan will make you fall in love with it.  Monasteries, valleys, dzongs, memorial chortens build in the memory of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, forts, different wildlife, hamlets, festivals, etc. are the major attractions here in Bhutan.  This tour is especially designed to explore more in the short period of the time.  We will visit memorial chortens, School of Art and Craft, Monasteries, Nunnery temples, and local markets.

Itinerary

• Day 1 Arrive at Paro. Drive to Thimpu

  Upon arrival, our representative will take you to Thimpu which is about 1-1/2 hour drive from there. Upon reaching, you will check in at the hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon time, you will visit the Changangkha monastery built in 15th, Buddha Point, memorial chortern built in the memory of Late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, and Drupthob Nunnery. We will spend some quality time there exploring the area. The monasteries, chortens and palaces are well preserved till date. Art and architecture will definitely mesmerize you and the paintings on the wall with a fine details will make you think twice about the hard work and dedication the artist have put it on to finish it. After sightseeing, we will get back to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 2 Thimpu to Paro

  After breakfast, we will drive back to reach Paro. On the way, we will visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong which is one of the major tourist attractions. It is located between the river fort and this fort defended the Paro valley from Tibetan invasion. So this fort is historically important monument. We will spend some time here exploring the fort. After that, we will hike up for 3 hours to reach Taktsang Monastery. Trail passes through forest of pine and village. This beautiful monastery hangs to the cliff and is located about 800 meters from Paro. We will explore around this area and spend some time there. After that, we will head back to reach Paro. In the evening free time, we will do some shopping around the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 3 Departure

  Today is the final day here. After breakfast, our representative will take you the airport to connect you to your flight towards your another destination.
