Popular amongst the tourists, this Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trekking gives you an opportunity to be close to the mountains.  This medium length trek is perfect for those who have less time and who want to explore the nature and wildlife.  This 11-day trek offers you to travel from busy city area to serene nature where you will be passing through different villages rich in (Gurung and Sherpa) culture, forests full of different wildlife and faunas, rivers, waterfalls, and not to mention panoramic view of gigantic mountain ranges.  This trek is quite easy and less strenuous.  Those who are physically fit, with confidence and strong willpower can easily complete this trek without any difficulty.  You will be walking for about 6-7 hours daily to avoid altitude sickness.  During the trek, you will be staying at the local guesthouse and lodges and in Pokhara and Kathmandu, you will be staying at the starred hotels.  The best season to do this trek is September to November and March to May.  The maximum altitude you will be trekking is 4130 m at Annapurna Base Camp.

Itinerary

  • Arrival

    Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up at the airport and upon completing airport duties; you will be transferred to the hotel. You will check in at the hotel and freshen up and rest for a while. After a while, you will be touring around the Kathmandu city as scheduled. You will be visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will see different temples, idols, and old buildings, which were built in centuries ago. We will stroll around the durbar square and see different monuments. After that, we will go towards the west of the city towards the Swoyambunath Temple. This temple is located about 20 min of drive from durbar square. It is one of the famous places. There are monasteries, temples, stupas, and different other small and big idols of Lord Buddha. Due to the presence of large number of monkeys, this place is also known as “monkey temple.” We will spend few times on the top of this temple and then return back to our hotel.   • Drive to Pokhara

    After breakfast, we will prepare to drive Pokhara. We will drive along the Prithivi Highway. It is about 200 km and will take about 7 hours to reach. We will pass through different towns and markets on the way. Different rivers, villages, hills, mountains, and waterfalls can be seen during this drive. After about 7 hours, we will reach Pokhara and we will check in at our hotel. After few time, we will do boating on Phewa Lake for some time and then will visit Davis fall which is towards the south of the city. After exploring the fall, we will return back to lakeside in the evening and spend some time walking around the lake. Overnight stay at the hotel

  • Drive to Nayapul. Trek to JhinuDanda

    After breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul which will take about an hour to reach. From there, we will start our trek. Today’s destination is JhinuDanda. We will walk about 5 hours today. Trail is mostly uphill and downhill passing through different forests and villages. Beautiful view of nature will accompany throughout the trek. After about 5 hours of walk, we will reach JhinuDanda. We will rest here at the local lodge. Overnight stay at the lodge after dinner

  • Trek to Sinhua

    After breakfast, we will start our trek to reach Sinhua. It is an uphill as well as downhill trail today which passes through different villages, forest of different vegetation, and river banks. Along the trail, we will also meet the fellow trekkers. During the peak season, you can expect more tourists in this area. After about 5 hours of walk, we will reach Sinhua. Overnight stay at the lodge

  • Trek to Deurali

    Early morning after breakfast, we will start our trek to reach Deurali. It will take about 5 hours to reach there. We will cross different villages and trail passes through forests. Crossing damp, steep, and cold sections, we will pass through different vegetation and reach an opening with a good view of rivers and mountains in the front. During the whole trek, you will be accompanied by beautiful views and the people living in that area. After about 5 hours of walk, we will reach Deurali. Overnight stay here at the lodge

  • Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

    Today is the day where we will reach our destination. After breakfast, we will start our trek along the riverside. First, we will reach Macchapuchre Base Camp. Trail up to here is little strenuous, but the view upon reaching the basecamp is worth. We will forget all the pain after seeing the panoramic view of different mountain ranges like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Hiunchuli and other snowcapped mountains. We will rest here for a while to enjoy the beauty of the nature. After that, we will continue our walk. You will notice the change in thinning of vegetation in this trail up to the Annapurna Base Camp. The trail widens up giving an excellent view of Mt. Annapurna. From here, you will be surrounded by mountains. After few hours of walk from Macchapuchre Base Camp, we will now reach Annapurna Base Camp where we will stay there overnight.

  • Sunrise view from Annapurna Base Camp: Trek back to Bamboo

    We will wake up early in the morning to get a glimpse of sunrise. The golden ray of sun striking the mountain is an absolute view. We will spend some time there and get back to our hotel for breakfast and then prepare for descend to reach Bamboo. Today will be the long 8 hour to reach Bamboo. We will take the same route to get back. Trail is mostly downhill and it will not be that hard to descend. The view, the nature is always there to accompany throughout the trek. After about 8 hours, we will reach Bamboo. Overnight stay at the lodge

  • Bamboo to Landruk

    Trail today is also mostly downhill. So, today’s walk is also an easy descend. It will take about 6 hours to reach Landruk. The trail passes through riverbank, villages, forests, and different vegetation. After crossing the ModiKhola, you will reach a small Gurung village – Landruk. It is a beautiful village of Gurung community. You will get to know about the culture and lifestyle of the Gurung people living here. You can also interact with the local people during your free time. Overnight stay at the lodge

  • Landrukto Australian Camp / Kande; Drive back to Pokhara

    After breakfast, we will continue our trek to reach Australian Camp, which is a camp based at Kande. Many people come here to get a view of mountain range like Macchapuchre and Dhaulagiri. It will take about 4 hours of uphill as well as downhill walk through different forest, village, and vegetation to reach Australian Camp. Our vehicle will be waiting for us there to take us back to Pokhara. It is about 2-hour drive to Pokhara from here. Upon reaching, we will check in at our hotel and in the free time, we will either rest or roam around the lakeside in the evening to get some cool fresh air and foods.

  • Drive back to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, we will catch a vehicle to get back to Kathmandu. It is about 7 hours of drive through Prithvi Highway. If you don’t want to drive back, there is another option of flying to reach Kathmandu. It will be a free time after reaching Kathmandu. You can do some last minute shopping for your friends and families in the free time and also roam around the busy streets of Thamel to pass your time. Overnight stay at the hotel

  • Departure

    Today is the last day here in Nepal. With lots of good memories and experiences to share with your friends and families, our representative will escort you to the airport to connect to your flight.
