If you love to explore the culture, art, and architecture of the Kathmandu, then this tour is definitely a going to amuse you with the architect of different medieval eras.  Old building, temples, courtyards of different cities like Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur will take you back to the ancient time.  These places have centuries old buildings and courtyards which are well preserved till date.Old palaces, courtyards are opened for the people, which displayart, culture, and architect of different eras.  This tour will cover mostly Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur area.  The durbar squares, stupas, and temples are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Itinerary

  • Arrival

    Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up at the airport and upon completing airport duties; you will be transferred to the hotel. You will check in at the hotel and freshen up and rest for a while. Depending upon a time and availability, we will take a short tour around the busy streets of Thamel, crowded with the souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, and pubs. We will stroll around the local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath, and Patan Durbar Square

    After breakfast, we will prepare to tour around Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is one of the most visited and loved places by the tourists. This area served as a royal palace for different kings for many years. We will visit the palaces, courtyards and markets around his area. You will be amazed to see the art and sculpture built by the artists in the royal complex. Listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this place is well preserved for its visitors. If lucky, we will even get a glimpse of Kumari – The Living Goddess. We can also do some shopping around the market place for the souvenirs. Kasthamandap, Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Shiva Parbati Temple, idol of KaalBhairab, SwetBhairab, AakashBhairab, KumariGhar, museum, and courtyard of the palace are some of the places to see here in this square. After touring and shopping around, we will then visit the Swyambhunathstupa towards the west, which is built on the top of the hill. It will talk about 20 minutes to reach there. Before reaching to the top, we have to climb some 200 flight of stairs. Lot of monkeys will be there, so make sure that you take care of your stuffs before going there. Upon reaching at the top, on a clear day, you will get a good view of the Kathmandu valley. There are different small/big idols and statue, temples, and monastery.We will stroll around the stupa and spend some time there and then prepare to go to our next destination for the day – Patan Durbar Square. It will take about 30 minutes to reach there. It is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located towards the south east. This is another beautiful place to visit in Kathmandu. The durbar square is a home to different temples, idols, and bihars. We will visit the museum, which displaces different sculptures and timeline of different periods. Krishna Mandir, museum, HiranyavarnaMahabihar (Golden temple), Mahabaudha temple, and Kumbeshwor temple are some of the places to see while we are here in Patan. Overnight stay at the hotel

  • Visit Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath and Boudhanathstupa

    After breakfast, we will drive for about 30 minutes towards the east of the town to reach Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur meaning the city of devotee is an ancient city, rich in festivals, culture, and religion. Taleju temple, Nyatapol temple, museum, Dattatraye temples, pottery square,are places to see here. Listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site, this place has preserved its authenticity. You will feel like you are travelling back to time while visiting this place. We will do some shopping here. Handicrafts, pashmina, pottery works, posters, and masks are the things that you can buy here as a souvenir. Few hours strolling around the old city, we will then head back to Pashupatinath temple – a famous temple for Hindu devotee. It is located at the holy Bagmati river bank where devotee from different country visits here every day. There are many idols of Lord Shiva in this premises which are worshipped in the festivals like Shivaratri, Teej, and Rishi Panchami. There is also a cremation side at the bank of the river. After that, we will head towards the north to reach Baudhanath – famous stupa for Buddhist devotee. It is a few-minute drive from Pashupatinath. It is one of the oldest stupa in Kathmandu. There are many monasteries around the stupa where you will see monks chanting and performing different rituals. In the festivals like Lhosar and Buddha Purima (full moon day), a huge celebration takes place to worship Lord Buddha. Apart from these festivals, you will also see many peoples throughout the year. After that, we will return back to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel

  • Departure

    Today is the last day here. After breakfast, we will prepare to leave our hotels and our staff will escort you to the airport to connect you with your flight. If time allows, you can do some last minute shopping for your friends and families.
